Revised a story from 3221 words to 2969 words. Found my legs on a novel that I had been letting drift and hope to get a fresh start of the morning. Two lines in a journal and I finished Justin Herrmann's book, "Highway One, Antarctica" which everyone should go buy and read.
Spent a few hours today in a mix of reading, writing, thinking, reading some more, changing my mind on the writing, wrote something different, read some more, thought some more, wrote some more, etc. Ended up with some sketchy draft ideas for a poem that will hopefully become more clear tomorrow.
Revising is a lot like renovating a house. The trick is to find where the dry rot is without losing the charm of the piece. I50 pages down, 185 to go.
